Since it's inception, Mainland Ventures Corporation has had a long tradition of generous community support. At MLV Renovations and Restorations our concern for the environment and animals takes many forms. Most visible is MLV's continuing effort to promote and work with environmentally friendly materials and finishing products within projects. This is to promote environmental sustainability and awareness, protect community health, and minimize any detrimental effects on the environment. Commitment to environmentally friendly business practices has been paramount in MLV Corp's continued growth and success in the Metro Vancouver area. As stewards of our planet, we are caretakers with an enormous responsibility to ensure the longevity and health of all inhabitants great and small for future generations. All of our decisions are based in ecologically friendly best practices and we are proud of our dedication to unwaveringly conduct business with our values at its forefront.
As avid animal lovers and advocates it seems natural that we advance our donation capacity into causes that we feel strongly about. Currently under development is the Wendy Foundation, a non-profit charity aimed at increasing the adoptability of senior dogs through rescue groups and humane organizations in Metro Vancouver by providing pet insurance with each adoption. The latter half of life comes with all the experience of the former but with a higher need for compassion and comfort. No dog should be overlooked and left in a shelter because of their age. In addition, whenever possible MLV Renovations and Restorations has, and will, continue to be avid supporters and contributors to local animal rights organizations and humane shelters including, but not limited to, the Animal Advocates, S.A.I.N.T.S. (Senior Animals in Need Today), R.A.P.S. (Richmond Animal Protection Society: Shelter and Thrift Store), P.E.T.A (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), S.P.C.A (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty Against Animals) and the WWF (World Wildlife Federation). Community responsibility is vital in developing strong relationships. That is why MLV Renovations and Restorations is a highly supported and requested renovations company in the Metro Vancouver area.
As we evaluate the next stages in MLV Corp's evolution, those founding environmental principles will continue to guide all of our business decisions. Whether that is reflected in endeavors such as truly green housing development projects or our desire to contribute and participate more in the charitable endeavors of Habitat for Humanity, we look optimistically into the future.
